Dear Friends,

The past few months, since our last letter, have been a time of seeing answers to prayer as well as learning to wait patiently upon the Lord. It is wonderful to see how He encourages our faith and stretches it at the same time. We can be safe in the knowledge that He will work out His perfect plan for us in order to bring the knowledge of the gospel to those who are truly ready to hear it.

New Publications

Praise the Lord that on Christmas Eve Better Homes and Marriages by Jean Gibson and the new Arabic edition of William MacDonald's True Discipleship came out of the press (this beloved and gifted writer went home to be with the Lord on the next day at the age of 91)!  We have also printed a children's book Abraham. We thank the Lord for providing the funds for the printing and we are informing the local churches about them. Pray that these excellent books will be widely distributed and be used to help the local believers to grow in Christ.

There are three new books currently being prepared for publication in Arabic this year: Can We Know God by R. E. Harlow, Intermediate Christian Training  by Jean Gibson, and Bible Stories for Young Children. Pray for the Lord  provide for the translating, proof-reading and printing. We are also reformatting William MacDonald's Believers Bible Commentary in Arabic and hope to publish it here for local use and to put it on the www.lifeismore.net website as a research tool for believers in the rest of the Arabic speaking world.

In unusual circumstances our books are now reaching Sudanese refugees! More than a thousand refugees from Darfur and Southern Sudan fled over the border over the past year, fleeing from hunger and persecution. Some were sent back, to their deaths, but most of them have been allowed to stay although they have no official government help. Some local believers have reached out to help these destitute people, some of whom are already believers, and we have been able to send clothes and literature in Arabic to them. Most of them are living in the south and centre. Pray that the Lord would use their tragic circumstance to bring them to faith, to lead each one to a place of safety, and that the government here would either allow them to settle here or in a safe country in the West.

Outreach Team

The Lord also blessed the outreach and literature distribution with the team from Germany in October. We had just produced an evangelistic CD taken from the website, which includes Bible courses, books, Bible text, music and other materials and links up with the website. About 10,000 of these CDs were distributed.

Life-is-more Website

We continue to thank God for the way He is using the website to reach so many people all over the world. We are discovering secret believers from Muslim background, whose only form of teaching and fellowship is through the site. We also have the highest rate ever of completion of the Bible courses. It is so encouraging to see people seriously studying the Word and growing in faith. A personal contact is established with everyone registered in the website.

LIFE-IS-MORE Community Center Project

Since the purchase of the land in September 07, we have been in the process of gathering estimates from several architects known to us and asking the Lord to guide us to the one of His choice. The Board has finally decided on an architect  who is a believer. He has now started on the preliminary plans and designs for the first stage, which will include two floors and parking area. These plans should be completed by the end of April when they will be submitted to the city council for obtaining a permit to build. This will take a further two months. Pray for the Lord to guide the architect as he makes the design, for the building permit to come through easily and for the Lord to provide the funds to be able to start on construction once the permit is given.
