I am the Gate…the thief comes only
to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and
have it to the full” (John 10:9,10)
Israel has a unique pressure of
religions all trying to steal lost sheep. We know this is happening
globally but here it is especially intense. Thank God that we introduce
people to the true Gate to eternal life.
Publications
The courses
Can We Know God and Plant My Feet on Higher Ground, are ready
to go to the press this month and we are hoping to have the
Intermediate Christian Training and Advanced Christian Training
and the 125 Children’s Bible Stories book finished soon too although
we had some setbacks with the translation. We will put them in to print
as the Lord provides.
Website
The
Lifeismore.net website
continues to increase in the number of visitors and people studying the
courses. We are getting letters from isolated believers from all over
the Arab world who are encouraged and spiritually fed from the site. We
have received personal letters from Algeria telling of increased
persecution there although many are coming to faith. We are cooperating
with another Christian website arabicbible.com to have William
Macdonald’s Believers Bible NT Commentary available online on a separate
site: injeel.com. We hope to have this completed soon.
Bible Distribution
In addition to our usual
distribution we were excited that we had a request for 100
Life Application Bibles
to a growing fellowship of believers from a Muslim background in the
West Bank. The Lord is bringing Palestinians and Israelis to faith
despite the difficult political situation. They both face persecution
from their own “religious leaders”. The believers in Gaza are under
particular pressure. Pray for them,

The architect has completed the
plans and they are being submitted to the city council for the necessary
building permit. This may take 2-4 months but
This Is the Middle
East so please pray that the permits would be granted without
delays or problems! We will produce an information brochure next month
to explain the purpose of the Center, the planned facilities and
projected stages of completion. If you would like a copy of this

Co-workers
We have been often praying for
more help with the ministry. As the ministry is expanding with the
courses by mail and online, the website, Bible and giftshop
distribution, publishing and the new Center project, I (George) often
feel that I am doing several full-time jobs! Thank the Lord for Shaul
who takes care of the courses, packing books, and some website work.
Ibrahim is helping part-time on the graphics for our publications but I
still need a capable local assistant, who speaks Arabic, Hebrew and
English, to ease the load. We may have found the right brother to
fulfill this role. Pray for the Lord’s guidance on both sides to confirm
His will.
Ministry Trip
The Lord has opened up the
opportunity for us (Ros, Marcus and me) to make a ministry trip to
Australia July 15 to August 22nd. We see this as an amazing privilege to
be able to share about the ministry in assemblies on the other side of
the world, that we had no previous contact with. The schedule is full
and on some days I will take 3 meetings. I even have a meeting on our
stopover in Singapore on the way home! We are looking forward to seeing
some old friends, meeting some people who we have only known through
correspondence, and of course making new friends. We will also have the
chance to visit Ros’s brother in New Zealand, who she hasn’t seen for 10
years. Pray for safety in all the traveling and for the Lord’s blessing
as we share about the ministry.
